Everyone matters to God. In fact, they matter so much to God that he sent his only son, Jesus, to die in our place for our sins, in order to restore a relationship back with us. Since God puts value in every single individual, everyone matters to Origins Church. John 3:16, Luke 15, 1 Timothy 2:3-4
Church is not a place, event, or service. It is the people. Meeting the needs of our community, thinking of others more highly than ourselves, and laying down our lives for one another is the calling of those who follow Jesus. John 13, Philippians 2:1-11, Matthew 20:26-28
We believe that God intended for people to do life together. At the very depths of our souls we need genuine and deeply-connected friendships, so we are a community committed to pursuing God together. John 17:20-26, Acts 2:42, Genesis 2:18
Instead of seeking to benefit and bring comfort to our own lives, we are called to live selflessly. We must use our resources, gifts, and abilities for the sake of others. Psalm 24:1, Proverbs 14:21, Matthew 6:19-24, Romans 12:1
The Gospel extends the invitation for us to live as God intended. He desires for every person to be transformed, until we seek Him in every sphere of life. Romans 8:29, Romans 12:2, Galatians 5:13-24
